Gluten Free & Intermittent Fasting

So it has been quite a while since I went Gluten Free. I haven't really been keeping track, but about a month or more...

I think I am going to keep doing this because I definitely notice a difference. I feel better and have much better digestion, less bloating and I don't crave pastries and cookies as much as before.

I have also been reading Wheat Belly. Which is a great book and I think I will incorporate some of the recommendations in there for diet. I already do most of what he recommends in the book except that I still eat french fries and corn chips once in a while and I have the occasional gluten free dessert or cookie.

I am still going to the gym and working out hard. I still haven't seen any significant weight loss and I am waiting for results from a test on my thyroid to see if that could be why I am not losing.

But, all I can do is keep up my schedule and see if it is just time that I need.

  1. Are you eating more sodium than before? I've noticed it can affect your weight due to increased water retention.

  2. How do you think about ending a 8 hour window with a workout?
LeanGain suggests ending the fast with a work out, but i have a job and the schedule doesn't simply fit for me
So i eat breakfast at 8, lunch 12, dinner 5 and then play tennis till 6pm..
and i dont eat after that.
i'm not sure if i can skip breakfast haha i was so much of a breakfast-person

    Thanks!

  3. I suggest trying the breakfast skip for a couple of days and see how you feel. I used to be a big breakfast person too..would be starving the moment my eyes opened. But now I never eat breakfast and never feel hunger in the mornings.

Skipping breakfast even if you just wait until 11am and just have an apple or something small before lunch will greatly increase the chance of more weight loss because you are extending your fasting period.

    Good Luck!

  5. Hey jenna, I will say skipping breakfast is not so good. You can have many diseases in this case. You should apply Intermittent Fasting's new technique like Eat Stop Eat . It will help you more.
